About:Overstaying in China & Penalty

i am from india & working in china since last more then 20 months .

i am from india & working in china since last more then 20 months .My resident permit will be expires on 30th June . But due to some incometax related work will not finished before 3 rd july I am not able to travel india back . Can my visa/ resident permit extended 1 week ?

Yes, you can. You'd better do it at local Entry and Exit Administrative Office at least 7 days before the residence permit expires.
