Visit UK from China

I live and work in Shanghai and have associated work and residence permits. I have had two doses of an approved Chinese vaccine in Shanghai and got associated paperwork. I would like to visit the UK in late July to take of my elderly Parents for one month before returning to Shanghai. Is this possible? If so any particular steps I should take to facilitate a smooth return to Shanghai?

It's possible but time-consuming. After returning back to China, you need to go on a quarantine for 14 days long in a hotel room. Before boarding the flight back here, you will need to do covid tests and get a green code using the wechat app. See details: travelchinaguide.com/china-travel-restrictions.htm
