Spanish citizen travelling to China to work (Z visa)

Hello,

I am currently working in Spain and on September I will be moving to China to work for some years on a plant that my company has there. Now we are applying for the Z-visa for me, my company is supporting me in this process and I hope it goes smoothly without any problems.

My girlfriend will want to come visit me for a few months next year, what type of visa shoud she apply for? S-visa? What documentation will she require? With the current situation, does it get more difficult to get the S-visa?

Thanks

Yes, S visa is difficult to get now due to the ongoing pandemic. If you go to China on a Z visa and then get a residence permit there, your family members could apply for Q visa to visit you, but Q visa doesn’t apply to girlfriend. For your girlfriend is coming next year, it is hard to predict the next year’s policy, for the pandemic changes every day. You can follow the official website of the embassy to know the latest policy when you need to do the application.
