Question for travelling to Hainan from US

Hi,

I want to visit Hainan for a month or less. Is there any visa/approval required or still visa free for US citizens?

Currently, only those holding China resident permit for work, family reunion and private affairs are allowed to enter China. Travelers are not allowed in at present. Sorry for that:(
