About:China Business Visa

Applying for residence permit on M Visa

Is it possible to enter China with an M visa and then obtain a residence permit to work in China? Or is that only possible if I enter China with a Z visa? Are consulates approving M visas right now?

No, you cannot obtain residence permit with M visa. The consulates only approve visas for very necessary activities or emergencies right now.
