Need visa for medical treatment

I need medical treatment in China. This treatment is not available the US. This is very time sensitive issue for me - to get this treatment. I am in contact with the doctor in China. Can I realistically get a visa now? If yes- any advice to how? Do I need an invitation letter, and if yes who should give it to me? Do clinics in China help patients in getting visas, invitation letters? Any information and advise is greatly appreciated! Thank you. Mary

You may try your luck to apply for an S visa dedicated for private affairs. An invitation letter is needed during the application process and you need to ask the clinic to provide it for you.
