About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Q visa: Already In china!

Me (foreigner living in china) and My girlfriend (Chinese citizen) are planning to get married here this month, can I apply for a resident permit directly since Im already in china, or do I have to go overseas to apply for Q visa and then come back?

You can renew it within China, at local exit and entry administrative office.
