Since your parents are Chinese, why don't you apply for the Q visa and Q1 the best? After entering, you can change it to a temporary resident permit, with which you can stay in China as long as you like within its valid period of 1-5 years. Also, the temporary resident permit allows multiple entries within its validity.

BTW, to apply for it, you don't need to submit air tickets, but invitation letter, photocopy of your parents' Chinese ID and proof of family relationship between you and your parents.
