About:Marriage Registration in China

Marriage Certificate: exchange our wedding certificate to a red marriage book

Hi. I would like to know if we have to exchange our wedding certificate to a red marriage book like those who married in China when we get to China if my Chinese boyfriend and I gets married in the Philippines? Also, do you think I can enter China after we marry if I apply for a Q2 visa this year?

Jane, you don't have to change your marriage certificate, but if you want to apply for the Q2 visa, you should have your marriage certificate authenticated by the Chinese embassy.

If your married in Philippines , you cannot get the red booklet marriage certificate in China. . Only those who get married in China can have red booklet... You can apply Q1 or Q2 since you already married to a Chinese
