I have opened a foreign owned trading company in GZ China , using my business visa , now i want to apply for residence permit what will be the method, since i have no other employees as yet and i am the owner of the company , what document do i have to provide and how should i apply for a residence permit for my self should i generate an employment letter for my self from my company ?

Leo, you will need to provide your passport, application form, work permit, and employment letter. After you get the work visa and enter China,you need to go to the exit and entry administration bureau to apply for a residence permit.

Can i enter china on business visa and then apply for work visa and then work permit? If i enter on business visa m and then in china convert to work z visa , will i have to exit china when i change visa status ? How do i apply for work permit ?
