Should i agree to dating him

I met someone on line recently he is 34 birthday is 14 Febraury 1986 and im 36 years born 14 December 1984. Is this a relationship that can work or am fooling myself. I am ready to date i just dont know what is possible anymore. I have been alone for a while now.
