About:China Family Reunion Visa

My two daughters mother a Chinese citizen,we divorced but I have the children custody.

Me and children are planning to return to China, do I still need an invitation letter or any form of documents from her ( ex-wife) or I could just apply for visa with my daughters documents?

Yes, I think you still need an invitation letter and the documents like passport from your ex-wife.

We ( ex-wife) don't talk for over a year now and she's married to another person.but I have copy of her ( ex-wife) passport and ID card plus household registration. My kids birth certificate and their Chinese passport are here with me. Why do I still need her ( ex-wife ) invitation letter?
