About:China Work Visa

Criminal check for work visa

Hi, I have just been informed by my company's HR department that they will now only accept an ACRO Police Certificate and not a Basic DBS certificate. The former costs a great deal more (£95 over £23) and it is also easier for me to get a DBS as I have an account. My question is, does the Chinese authorities now only accept ACRO for British people applying in UK? Previously my DBS certificate was good enough when applying.

Yes, it might be the new rule because visa policies become stricter during the pandemic period.
