About:Chinese Permanent Residence Permit

Permanent residency

Dad is a British citizen aged 65, he is currently married to a Chinese citizen, they have a child together who is 18 years old who is also a Chinese citizen. Can dad apply for a permanent residency and retire in China with his family? What is the process and guidelines on this application? Does dad have to apply whilst he is in China or can he apply in uk?

Dear, when did your dad get married with this Chinese citizen? Only if the marriage lasts more than 5 years and your dad stays more than 9 months each year in China, he will be eligible for Chinese permanent residency.
