Good Day, I have a PU letter from China but my Visa has expired

I have a PU letter for china but my visa has expired .What process should I follow? I have gone to the embassy in Sandton however they cannot help me without an appointment. Do I need to reapply for a visa in order to make an appointment. I urgently need direction as I need to be back in china 16.10.2020
