Q2 Duration of Stay
I have a valid 10 year, multi-entry, 120 days Q2 visa. The last time I entered mainland China was from Macau last December. I used the auto 2-month extension and a standard Q2 extension to get to this point, but the EEB seems reluctant to give me another extension. My duration of stay ends in 30 days, so I’m planning another trip to Macau.
My concern is, I can’t find any updated information regarding foreigners traveling there through Zhuhai. I haven’t left China since last December, as mentioned. Does that matter, or is entry still limited to Chinese nationals? My friends told me that Macau is open again to entry, as long as you have a recent 7-day corona check.
Another question I have is, even if Macau denies me entry, does this count as exiting and entering? I ask this because the Chinese officer in Zhuhai will give me an exit stamp before I get to Macau, obviously. If I get denied entry by the Macau officer, the Zhuhai officer will give me an entry stamp to return to Zhuhai even though I never crossed borders. I have always wondered if this resets my duration of stay. Thanks ahead of time, sorry for the long post.
