Medical examination

Hi
I am returning to China for a new job so I'm going to apply for a Z visa. I will take a medical when I land in China but will I also need to take a medical here in the Uk for the visa?
I also have a criminal background search, how do I get it visa ready? Authenticated?

Yes, you need to take a medical check also in the UK. You can apply for a non-criminal record at the relevant authority and then have it authenticated by the Chinese visa center in UK.
