Renewing Outside of China

Can you renew your permit outside of China?

I just left China a few weeks ago and intend to come back in 2021 sometime. My employer offered to renew my permit but I didn't have time and I wasn't sure if I'd be returning of not.

Is it possible to renew it from afar?

James, if you want to enter China in the future, you can see if the residence permit is still valid. If yes, you can use it to enter. If not, you need to apply for another visa.
