About:Marriage Registration in China

Is the process the same for two foreigners? My wife has a Z type Work Visa

We are both currently in China and have the following documentation: Original marriage certificate, authenticated copy of the marriage certificate, my passport, my wife's passport.

We are both currently on Z work visas with residency permits. I will finish working soon and would like to get a spousal visa instead.

As far as I know, two foreigners can get married in China, but I'm not sure whether the policy has changed.

the policy changed on april 1 2019. two foreigners can now no longer get married in china. one person must be a chinese national.
