About:China Visa

Visa Stay to apply work permit in Shanghai

Hi I am Yusran. I have just graduated from Jilin University. My current resident permit is going to expire and now i am planning to apply temporary stay Visa.
I am going to start a job in Shanghai. Can I apply work permit in Shanghai with stay Visa?. A fried told me, that i must leave China first before applying work permit and work Visa if your current visa is stay Visa. Is this correct? please give an quick response. thanks

Yusran, you can have a try to apply for a work visa while you are in China on a temporary stay permit.
