Exchange student visa to work visa

Hi, I am Yusran. I have just graduated from Jilin University (ph.D). I have been offered postdoctoral position in Shanghai. My current resident permit is only valid up to July 14. I need extra stay to manage work permit and work visa for my new job. My university can only grant me with stay visa which requires me to leave China before apply another work visa. What should I do to extend my my stay in China to manage my work permit? Thanks

First, apply for a visa extension with the help of your school. Then, submit your work permit application and renew your residence permit as soon as possible.
