About:China Visa

Will your original L visa be VOIDED if you apply & get the 30 day extension?

My situation:
- 10 year L tourist visa, 60 day stay per entry
- my 60 days (per my visa) + 60 days (the automatic 2 month extension given by the gov't due to Corona virus) is about to expire soon
- I want to apply for an extension at the local PSB
- currently in Guangdong

Q1) Will they ONLY give you a 30 day extension? Or is a 60 day extension (which equals the usual length of stay for my original visa) possible at all? The consensus here seems that, no matter what, they will ONLY give you 30 days, no exceptions. Can anyone who has ACTUALLY visited & spoken to a PSB official kindly confirm this?

Q2) If i successfully get the 30 day extension, will this VOID my original 10 year L visa? (which would suck massively. but again, this seems to be the consensus here.) Would anyone kindly verify?

Thank you so very much!

1) Usually one can get a 30 day extension, but I heard that if you have family members in China, you can get a longer extension.

2) It will very possibly void your 10-year L visa from what I read on a few posts on this website.
