Is a multiple entry visa voided after you get an extension from the PSB?

I read a comment here that said that if you extend your visa for another month at the PSB once the two month extension is over, it invalidates your visa after that month and you need to get a new one. Is this true?

Gosh I wish the information was more clear.

Roy, actually I don't agree with this saying because the Chinese authority never gave such a statement.
