About:Jinshanling Great Wall

sunset viewing of Beijing Jinshanling Great Wall

as you state opening hours are until 18:00, only, is there an opportunity to view sunset? is it possible to stay until late and still being able to exit?

I have been a few times to 金山岭 . I remember the eastern exit of this great wall section closes around 3. There are always ways to exit the wall section through the main entrance, or at least via the wild western side.

Best solution is: enter Jinshanling through the eastern, walk westwards and do the wild part until Gubeikou. There you can take a suburban train back to Beijing at 5:17 pm or get into one of the small hotels.
