Police report authentication in China

I need my police report notarized and authenticated in order to apply for a work visa. I can get it notarized at the consulate, but where would I get it authenticated? Back home, this would be done in the Chinese embassy.

John, you need to get it notarized by a local notary public and then have it authenticated by the Chinese embassy in your country. I don't think you can do the authentication within China.
