About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

Over 18 and my family and I live in China

I’ve been researching through the week, and it seems with the current closed borders and my 60-day extension almost over, that if I’m unmarried, don’t work, and don’t attend a Chinese university, then I can’t apply for a residence permit/family residence permit?
I’ve just been confused because I was eligible for my current 10-year family visit visa, but that doesn’t automatically make you eligible for a family residence permit?

The current 10-year family visit visa won't automatically make you eligible for a family residence permit. Therefore, you have two options now: 1. apply for a visa extension again but this may void your 10-year visa. 2. Leave China before your current visa extension ends.
