How can I convert my s2 single entry visa to S1

Good day I'm Nigerian on s2 visa( single entry ), my wife works here in China as a teacher, I would like to know if it's possible to switch my s2 visa to s1 while in china or do I have to exit before that can be done, if I have to exit, does it necessarily have to be my home country or can I just go to an Asian country where my passport is visa free to have it done

Ade, you can first try to have your S2 visa converted to S1 while in China at a local exit and entry administration. If it can't be done, you need to exit and apply for an S1 visa. You had better do it in your home country.
