About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Automatic visa extension

Good day. I’m planning to arrive in Shanghai April 15, 2020, with a business visa (60 days). The visa expires early May, so I can’t use the full 60 days (due to postponing the trip), however, do need them. In such situation, am I eligible for automatic visa extension, and, if so, how long, and how does the process work? Thanks!

Your visa expiration date ("Enter Before date") is different from your Duration of Stay (60 days). If you enter China on April 15, you can stay till June 14. Plus, as long as the pandemic is going on, the duration of stay is extended for another 60 days automatically currently on most visa types.

Hi - I saw your response saying that the visa is áutomatically' extended for 60 days, does it mean we do not need to go to any govt body to extend it?

Yes, I guess so, but you still need to confirm this with the local immigration of China.
