About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hour visa on arrival London to Taiwan flights

UK passports, if holidaying in Taiwan, flying from London, are we eligible for the 144 hour transit visa if we plan a stopover in Shenzhen? Thank you in advance

Georgia, if your route is London - Shenzhen - Taiwan and you have no other layovers en route to Taiwan, you can enjoy the 144h visa-free transit in Shenzhen.

Sharon, I know that's normally the case but I wanted to check that Taiwan actually counted as a third country even though it comes up as Tailwan, China on the airlines sites. Obviously I don't want to arrange flights that allow for 4-5 days in Shenzhen and then find I can't leave the airport. That would be a bit boring.

Yes, it counts as a third country in terms of immigration affairs.
