BEIJING INT'L Transfer

Hello!
I wanted to asked your advice. I have never flown on a Chinese airline nor have I been to China.
There is an Air China flight that goes from Los Angeles (LAX) to Beijing (PEK) and then a DIFFERENT connecting flight from Beijing (PEK) to Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan (TSE).
I will have one hand-carry but I will check my bags direct to Nur-Sultan from LAX.

There is just 1:45 minutes (one hour and 45 minutes) between flights!! Is that enough time to transfer to an international connection?
