Chinese visa

I am an Irish citizen who is married to a Chinese woman for the last eleven years in which we lived in the UK for seven years and decided to come to live in China from September 2015 I am retired but my wife still works my visa runs out in April 20th 2020 I would like to know when is the earliest I can apply for a new one as I would like to go on my holidays in March also I would like to know if I can apply for a permanent visa if not which one can I apply for

Richard, I think you are now eligible for the permanent residence of China, you can apply for it at the local exit and entry administration.
