Chinese visa

I am married to a Chinese for eleven years and lived in UK for seven years with her I came to live here in September 2015 I now live in China for the last four years and six months which my visa runs out in April 20th 2020 which is the earliest I can apply for a new one also can I apply for a permanent one as I would like to go on holiday if I can

The latest (not the earliest) you can apply is a month before your residence permit's expiration date. Permanent residency depends on your wife's income and there is a year-long backlog in most major cities.
