Renewal from abroad

Hi,
My foreigner's residence permit expires in a few months, and I am afraid I will not be able to travel to China (due to the virus outbreak) before expiration. I wonder if it is possible to renew it from abroad? From any Chinese Visa center in Europe?

No residence permit can be renewed outside Mainland China. If yours will be expired while you are outside Mainland China, then you most likely will need a new X1 visa from scratch

Hi. I have the same problem. My residence permit expires on march 01. Have you found a way to renew it outside china? What did your employer say about it?

It's impossible to renew it outside China.
