connecting flight via shanghaikunming

Question

HiI will fly in December from London on UK passport to Mandalay via shanghai and Kunming- as stopover and  connecting flights in the same 24 hours period(with China Eastern airline).I do have as well the full return flight with them back to London.Can you please advise if will be ok the 72 hours visa free waiver ok for me , or I need to pay a transit visa?Thank you

24 hours visa-free transit applies if it is not a minute longer than 24 hours from the scheduled first landing in China to the scheduled last departure from China.
