About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

connecting flight via shanghai and Kunming

Hi

I will fly in December from London on UK passport to Mandalay via shanghai and Kunming- as stopover and connecting flights in the same 24 hours period(with China Eastern airline).
I do have as well the full return flight with them back to London.
Can you please advise if will be ok the 72 hours visa free waiver ok for me , or I need to pay a transit visa?
Thank you

24 hours visa-free transit applies if it is not a minute longer than 24 hours from the scheduled first landing in China to the scheduled last departure from China.
