About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying around Asia will I qualify?

My trip is from US with layover in Canada > March 27th Beijing > March 30th Tokyo > April 1 Milan > April 9th to Shanghai > April 10th Train to Beijing > April 11th back to US. Could I qualify for the 144hr visa free? Or Do I need to apply for a multi entry visa? Thank you.

You need a visa for the entry on the 9th. Two stops in China immediately limits you to 24 hours transit without visa.
