Indians do not require a visa for visits less than 30 days. Required documents are MOP/HKD 5,000 or equivalent in cash, proof of accomodation for the entire stay and an onward or return ticket (departures from HK are generally accepted). Entry is at the discretion of the immigration officer.

You risk being refused entry that way. Someone emailed immigration and they specified that the amount has to be in cash but can be in.different currencies.
