I am a British Citizen living in Southern Alberta and wish to travel on vacation to China in March 2020. Do I need to get my visa from the Consulate or can I do it online? Can I make an appointment if I am going to need to travel to Calgary?

Fiona, you need to get your visa from the visa center in Calgary. Online applications are not accepted. Yes, you can make an appointment on the website of the visa center before going there.
