Round trip to HKG then ferry to mainland

I am flying into HKG and taking a ferry or taxi into Shenzhen - what travel documents will I need beyond my round trip airline itinerary from the US to HKG?

The round-trip plane tickets are actually enough as the travel documents. If you want to play it safe, you can also book the ferry tickets in adavnce and add them into your travel documents.
