About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

i am flying london to shanghai staying one 24 hrs coming back to london is this covered by 144 hours

I am flying london to shanghai with one way ticket ticket staying one 24 hrs then I bought another ticket going to Bangkock then coming back to london is this covered by 144 hours please help

You mean the route is London - Shanghai - Bangkok - London, right? If yes, you are eligible for the 144 hours visa free policy.

No, its not a transit if you are not continuing to a third country first. If you add a quick transit in a third country then it can become eligible.

For example:
London > Shanghai on BA
Shanghai > Hong Kong (change planes) > London on Cathay Pacific.
