About:China Tourist Visa

once a tourist visa is accepted how long do I have to enter China?

I live in Australia but Im Italian, I will leave Australia to travel Asia for 3/4 months and I will end my trip in China. Can I apply for my visa while in Australia, about 4 months before travelling to China? or am I better off applying while travelling?

Usually a China tourist visa is only valid for three months from the date of issue, so if you apply for it four months in advance, it will expire before you enter China.
