Itinerary Requirements - what are these?

I'm travelling on a British/EU passport. I want to leave Hanoi and go to Moscow via Beijing (all surface travel).
Do I need to provide an itinerary, or exit travel arrangements, when I apply for a visa?

Yes, you need to provide a rough itinerary on the application form, entry and exit tickets, and hotel booking to apply for a visa.
