Requirements for Tourist visa

Good day,what are the requirements for a tourist visa?Do they need a bank statement now?

Chelsea, according to the website of the China embassy in Zimbabwe, you need to prepare passport, application form, recent photo, round-trip flight tickets and hotel bookings for visa application. Bank statement is not required.
