Length of Validity between "issue date" and "Enter Before" date

Good Morning,

I am working on applying for a visa and last time I got a tourist one and I had 3 months to enter China before the visa was no longer valid. I see there are different options of this time frame and am curious on how the "enter before" date can be extended?

The "Enter before" date cannot be extended. Once your visa is issued, the "Enter Before" date is fixed. The validity between "Issue Date" and "Enter Before" date is usually three months.
