About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

How do you count visa free days the correct way?

I have different answers from the Beijing hotlines and even the entry/Exit immigration. How do u start counting Day 1 to Day 15 for a visa free 15day? Does the day of my entry to Beijing count? For example: I arrive in Beijing on 23rd Dec 2019. Am I supposed to leave on 6th or 7th?

I was told that it counted from the day following your arrival, ie., if you arrive on 23rd Dec 2019, you are supposed to leave on 7th Jan 2020.
