About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi travelling from London to UAE and then to Shangai

Hi, I am flying from London to UAE to Shanghai
And staying overnight in Shanghai in ship, sightseeing in Shanghai next day and then sailing to a Japan - will the 144 hr visa free be approved at the Pudong Airport?

You are either eligible for the 24h or 144h twov.
It depends on how long your stay in Shanghai is.

Will land in Shanghai on the 14th in the morning and leave next day at 5 pm. Accommodation on the ship only. Thereafter I will not have international flight until the sailing trip is completed in Dubai two weeks later

Raks, if your citizenship is among 53 eligible countries, you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in Shanghai area. Anyway, to be completely certain about your eligibility, here is a couple of conditions your itinerary has to fulfill:

- Your flight to Shanghai is not allowed to have any additional landing in mainland China and in the country where your cruise will have its first port of call, immediately after Shanghai.
- Your cruise is not allowed to have its first port of call, immediately after Shanghai, in mainland China port.

If the above mentioned conditions are fulfilled, you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit and you don't need any kind of visa.
