Police Registration in a small town during Spring Festival

I am going to visit my girlfriend's family at a small town and because of Spring Festival we got our tickets and we arrive until 23 at night, so since Spring Festival holidays start even before 24 as far as I know, and we don't truly know very well how fast can they register me in the Police Station. I wonder if anyone knows if registering in small towns can have a delay and what happens if the Police Station nearby doesn't properly work in that week? Should they still be working and register me even though it's a holiday season?
PD: The town is in Guangxi and I have done my registration as soon as I arrive in China, I'd be going there from Guangzhou for 5 days and I have a Business Visa.

As far as I know, foreigners visiting rural areas in China can do the registration within 72 hours after arrival. Though it will be the Spring Festival holiday at that time, there might be someone on duty in the police station. I advise you to ask the relatives of your girlfriend to confirm this before you arrive in China to make things smooth.

Thank you, that's great to hear. We ask but we are afraid for some reason the person in charge of registration is not there when we go and for the next 3 days we struggle to find somebody. I'm just worried what happens if nobody is qualified to register me...although I have been told there should be someone within 2 or 3 days. Thanks a lot!
