Dual national of Canada n Pakistan denied 24 hour stay in a booked Hotel room

I am flying from Toronto then Vancouver then Beijing then Karachi on Canadian Passport. I don’ have Pakistan Travel document / Passport or Pakistani Visa but NICOP, a Pakistan origin national ID card. I have booked 24 hour hotel room in Days Inn in Beijing. I was denied transit visa / permit for 24 hours. A police / visa officer on duty said computer does’t allow me, he does’t have specific reason of denial of visa. A year ago my daughter under same condition of dual nationality and same route, was granted a 24 hour stay. I had 2 options to get earlier flight to Karachi or stay at airport. There is no earliest flight scheduled for Karachi but stick to my origional flight to Karachi. Lounge at airport has no room available currently. The charges for lounge are about 18 Canadian dollar or exactly 88 Chinese Uaan. 24 hour charges are Canadian dollar 220. I was ready to pay for 24 hr but no room. Room is probably a bed not a separate room but I did not see exactly how the rental place was.
