About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

transit visa for filipino going to be england

hi,i am a filipino planning to visit england with my partner(british citizen).so we plan that we will get the same plane going to uk from shenzhen and plan that i am going to transit 72hrs in shenzhen.what should i prepare for getting a 72hrs transit visa?thank you

hi ZUPAN thanks for the reply.i want to ask another question(and i hope anyone can help/answer me.TIA), if we got married(me filipino and my british boyfriend) and want to visit him with a S2 visa, is there any possibility for me to apply for temporary residence permit and while he’s still have a valid working visa?

Unfortunately, Philippine citizens are not eligible for 72 or 144 hour visa free transit. They can use only 24 hour visa free transit. In other words, if you want to travel visa free via Shenzhen, you are allowed to have a layover in Shenzhen for less than 24 hours. If you want to stay in Shenzhen and in mainland China in general for a longer period than 24 hours, you will have to obtain a Chinese tourist (L) visa in advance.

I have to admit that I'm not so well informed about the subjects that you have asked me about, but as far as I know, S2 visa is not the one that will allow you to proceed toward an application for a temporary residence. You should apply for S1 to be allowed to do that. Of course, to be able to apply for S1 visa, you will have to be in a marriage with your boyfriend. S2 visa limits your stay in China up to 180 days.
