Im intending to travel from London to Beijing, to Ho Chi Min City, but am looking to spend 72hours (or less) in Beijing to break up the journey. From what I can tell I would be eligable for the 72 Visa free travel.
As I understand it, I would need to Inform the Airline before travelling?
Also I would need to inform the airline before traveling?
If you meet the requirements is it possible to be refused a 72hourvisa free permit? I dont want to spend 3days in an airport.
Thanks

72 hours was replaced by 144 hours at Beijing a while ago. There is no chance you will spend all the time at the airport. You only need to inform the airline on the day of travel. It is a waste of time calling them in advance.
