About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

2 stops in Beijing

My first stop at the Beijing airport from the U.S.A will be for 4 hours. I do not plan to step outside of the airport. On my away back home I have a 20 hr layover and will go sightseeing. What would be the best option for visa? Please advise

In both cases you don't need any visa as long as your trip is US - China - Country C (and vice versa).

You're covered by the 24h twov.
But there's no guarantee that the immigration will give you a temporary permit on your way back home to leave the airport.
